• Mie Olise Kjærgaard is a young talented Danish artist on the verge of an international breakthrough. Goodmorning Technology created the identity for Mie Olise´s first Danish exhibition at SNYK Skive Ny Kunstmuseum called: The Exquisite Capabilities of the Flying Carpet.

“Working with abandoned constructions and fallen utopias I went to Berlin to see an abandoned Amusement Park, experience the decaying constructions and wander around the paths, once filled with happy people.” Mie Olise, www.olise.dk/

The challenge consisted of creating a simple and subtle layout that would not take the attention away from neither content paintings or photos - with easy navigation both for Danish and English readers.
  • This resulted in a book presenting Mie Olise and her work through essays interviews articles and off courses her art in an intuitive and magazine´ish way. By the use of the characteristic colors in Mie Olise´s paintings together with loads of page-space we have given both text and images significance and letting each form of expression speak for itself.

It is what it is and is not pretending to be more than it is: A catalogue a book a magazine – whatever your preference, where the artist summarizes and translates her exhibition in another media.

The books crisp and poetic identity was applied to posters invitations and programs for the opening of the exhibition.
